Regeneration in some plants by duplicating their DNA

There are some herbaceous plants which when munched by grazing animals, they overcompensate and starts producing more plant matter and become more fertile than they otherwise would. Now Scientists have found how these plants accomplish this process of regeneration. This process of rebounding after being cut is known as genome duplication, in which individual cell divides into multiple cells from all of their genetic content.
